That smile on the littlest is a miracle. It isn’t the type where his entire family and everyone who knew him was praying and poof his smile appeared, his giggles and laughter were heard. Instead it is one that has appointments littered all over mom’s calendar, questions asked, nights spent searching for answers from the internet, from friends, a sleepless mom, and a helpless dad. It wasn’t a normal first three months of life for this littlest Carlson boy.
Our prayers increased, it went beyond our families and out to our friends. Everyone would check in asking how little Rowie was doing. One night mom came upon some answers, set up more appointments and the road to healing began. Wisdom was prayed for each doctor appointment, healing was asked for quickly and painlessly. The miracle could be seen days later. Weeks later his smile lit up the room, for the first time in three months. He is, I promise, one of the easiest babies to get to grin. He gives me grins daily and all I have to do is say his name. The journey still continues and the prayers are still for his tummy to adjust. But his smile speaks of a boy who feels healthy, who loves his big brother and daddy, snuggles into his momma at every chance and is a joy to be around.
I love being his auntie, can’t you tell! I will proudly say he is the cutest baby boy I know!
